For life forevermore.

Have you seen a couple and have known, really known, that they would make it to the end, and hear weeks, months, years later, that they dint ( or what you thought was their life, wasn’t the truth). Have you felt betrayed when pastors, worship leaders, Christian models suddenly and inexplicably broke their promises, stole money, ran away, and behaved not like the salt and light of the world that we’re called to be? We know there’s no “suddenly”, it’s been a step-by-step process, and sin had been brewing for a long time. But, why did they not come to God? Why dint they stop the process in the beginning? Why did they forget what they were preaching/singing/talking about? Why did they forget God? And if they, who knew/ supposed to know God better than us, can fall, what hope is there for us not to?

There is no hope for us not to fall into sin, for it says in  Romans 3:22-24 that ” This righteousness is given through faith in  Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile,   for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,  \ and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. “ (emphasis mine). All of us sin, have sinned and will sin. We have lied, stolen, been prideful, slandered, coveted , blasphemed, gossiped, taken His name in vain. We may or may not have murdered, committed adultery, embezzled, started a war, but that doesn’t make gossiping any less a sin. Or lying. Or yelling at the kids. Or being unforgiving. Or….Or….Or…….

But the good news is that Christ dint expect us to do it by ourselves. To save ourselves. To be worthy. To be good people. To stop sinning.

HE did it , and He did it while we were yet sinners, bad people, unworthy. He died for us (Romans 5:8), but He dint stop there. He rose from death , and defeated the last enemy known to man (Romans 8:34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died- more than that, who was raised to life- is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. ) He will give us eternal life, forevermore . We will live with Him, pure, and holy, and righteous, and without sin. His bride. His family. In His home , for all eternity. Because He loves us. Because He will keep all his promises. Because He can be trusted. He is only God who can save us. To Him be glory and majesty, power and authority. Amen.
