Creator of heaven and earth.

Recently we had the opportunity to travel through different states. My husband and I were enthralled by the majesties of creation around us. We were in Cincinnati and loved, absolutely loved, the verdant and healthy trees , that we saw as we went up and down the hills. We even drove into Kentucky just to look at the views.

We did live in Wisconsin and Michigan for a few years,  and  as much as I don’t like the cold or the snow, there’s a pristine and rugged beauty there that is soothing to so many people.
In New Mexico, the dessert landscape with the mountains as a backdrop, is so similar to the regions where Jesus grew up and walked and taught , that we had no difficulty imagining David composing his psalms there.
(As you can probably tell, I love the mountains and green foliage and water!)
During this time, I was reminded again and again of ” Psalm 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.”  We serve a Creator God, a God who takes pleasure in the work of His hands, who when He was finished with each successive day of creation, said “it is good”, reserving, “it is very good” for when He created human beings. Today I want to revel in the beauty around me and remember, that Heaven will be so much better.

A few verses to remind us of Him and His love for us. How majestic and glorious He is. And how deserving of honour and glory.

So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.

This is what God the Lord says – the Creator of the heavens, who stretches them out, who spreads out the earth with all that springs from it, who gives breath to its people, and life to those who walk on it:
and he blessed Abram, saying, ‘Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth.

Marvel in His glory, and remember He loves you. If you were the only person who needed saving, He would still die for you.
