I love Jesus and want to live for Him, but I am flawed and make many mistakes. So many mistakes. But He is faithful and just, and will forgive me, when I confess it to Him. He’s working on getting me to confess right away.
Our goal for our family is to become more like Him, and we can’t do it ourselves. We are learning about Him by studying Him and His word, by being involved with other godly people who help us along the way, and by worshipping with believers on a consistent basis. Our family is choosing to serve Him all our lives, in everything we do, in everything we write, in everything we say, in how we live.
I love reading (fantasy and Christian fiction and Christian non fiction), my husband (we like to study different parts of the Bible and discuss it later) , our children (they don’t like sleeping and they love dancing and running and colouring, even on the walls), dogs (I want to adopt as many of them as I can, but I havent’t got one yet), baking (I love decorating and sharing sweet treats with others), coffee (i absolutely need it to wake up!), writing (otherwise the words rattle around in my head), my extended family (who are such an integral part of our lives), travelling (I’m day-dreaming so far. We haven’t managed too much of it yet apart from a few local places), Christian music (it’s a part of me, and it heals and soothes me, but I cannot hold a tune, so I’ll share songs by others with you) and most of all , My One God who reveals Himself in myriad ways.
This journey we’ve been on with Him and each other is such a wondrous, painful, glorious, difficult one. He has been with us through our mountains and long valleys. To read more about our journey as our son was diagnosed with Autism , go here. He has proven Himself Faithful. His promises have been fulfilled, and He’s changed us, even as He is changing us now, into His image.
I’ve not yet had a chance to go to seminary, ( though that’s a dream for the future, so all studying and writing in here is my own ). In the past few years, I’ve developed a love for His Word. Reading it and studying it. I’d love to show you the beauty contained within, to point you to Him and encourage you to read the Bible yourself and know Him just as you are fully known. I want to make the Bible come alive for you. That is a major motivator to continue writing.
I graduated from medical school, met and married my husband (he’s a doctor as well and works long hours) moved to the States from India before our 1st anniversary, had our daughter before our 2nd and our son before our 3rd! We’ve moved several times for my husband’s job (5 major moves in 9 years which does not include moves within the same city or staying in hotels). We’ve had to constantly uproot ourselves and get replanted elsewhere. Through it all He has been Faithful to provide a church family to help us, with what we need, when we need it. We are strangers and sojourners here on this earth, but this is not where we belong. We try to keep our focus on what will come and the mansion that’s prepared for us in glory and seeing Him face to face. That will be worth everything! Sometimes I can hardly wait…..
So, come along with me friend, and let’s follow HIM and worship Him, in spirit and in truth.
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3:17 NIVUK
Let the peace of Christ keep you in tune with each other, in step with each other. None of this going off and doing your own thing. And cultivate thankfulness. Let the Word of Christ—the Message—have the run of the house. Give it plenty of room in your lives. Instruct and direct one another using good common sense. And sing, sing your hearts out to God! Let every detail in your lives—words, actions, whatever—be done in the name of the Master, Jesus, thanking God the Father every step of the way. Colossians 3:17 MSG
Thank you for joining me on this journey.
